Our Team

Bringing together a breadth of experience across industries

Our team is drawn from diverse backgrounds with proven experience working in the public and private sectors. Founded by George Skillin and Michael McRoberts in 2017, we began with seven staff and a mission to provide quality financial advisory services for government. Today we have five subsidiaries and more than 140 consultants across six state and territories, providing services to local, state and federal departments and agencies; and the education and private sectors. Chartertech also has the largest federal government-focussed IBM Cognos and TM1, and TechnologyOne specialist teams in Canberra.

He has managed financial and budget management improvement projects across multiple government departments and agencies including the departments of Defence, Home Affairs and Agriculture, as well as the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the ACT Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate.

Dedicated to providing strategic management accounting advice to senior executives—with a focus on sustainability, funding, investment and business improvement—his expertise covers a wide range of accounting roles, including process re-engineering, budgeting, costing, asset management, debt management, systems accounting, program assurance and technical accounting advice.
